Social Programs & Clubs
Social programs are designed for fun and friendship! They encourage social interaction, independence, and skill development. WDSRA has social clubs for children, teens, and adults that explore a variety of interests.
Weekly Social Programs
Have fun while making new friends with these popular social programs including: Movie Critics, Bingo, Mini Golf Tour, Swim Social, and more.
Weekend Social Clubs
Explore a new activity each week including dinner outings, movies, plays, mini-golfing, sporting events, and more!
Saturday Buddies Club
Especially for teens ages 12-21, each participant interacts with a peer buddy who does not have a disability. Build meaningful friendships and while having a great time.
Just Us Girls & Just Us Guys
Monthly clubs especially for ages 18 and older, Girls may go shopping or out to lunch while Guys may catch a football game or see a movie. Participants decide the activities for each season.
Do Drop In
For ages 22 and older who don’t want to spend a lot of money. The club usually enjoys inside activities such as: playing board games, karaoke, watching videos, and more.
Aktion Club
Sponsored by Kiwanis International, Aktion Club is a community service club for adults who have a learning disability. They meet every other Monday evening and plan community service projects, fund raising, and educational presentations while developing important skills in the process.
Girl Scouts
For girls ages 7-17 offering the opportunity to build courage, confidence, leadership, and make friends along the way. Earn badges, sell Girl Scout cookies and field trips. Meetings are held twice a month.
