About the WDSRA Foundation

Windy City Warrior rushes down the court.Together we can create Equal Fun for Everyone!

The WDSRA Foundation was developed to establish long term programs of giving from individual businesses and organizations to further the goals and ideals of the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Support for the Foundation allows WDSRA to keep the cost of services low while sustaining the high quality programming on which our families depend.  The Foundation provides many giving opportunities through events, appeals, sponsorships, etc. We believe in building lasting relationships in our communities that will further our mission, benefit our participants, and create long term business partners.

Throughout the year, the WDSRA Foundation receives amazing support and generosity from many groups and individuals, through donations, volunteers or merchandise. The WDSRA Foundation hosts a number of fundraising events each year, with all proceeds benefiting the Association.

Focusing on Families

For over 35 years, the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) has been Focusing on Families for the more than 4500 participants who depend on our programs and services. Raising a child with a disability can mean facing enormous challenges on a daily basis. Providing support to the entire family, wherever possible, allows everyone to strengthen their relationships. WDSRA recognizes the importance of family and is proud to be a part of building family bonds.

We invite you to support our families through the WDSRA Foundation. Your support allows WDSRA to continue to provide the exceptional programming of which they have come to depend. Through your contributions our participants have the opportunity for increasing personal growth, developing social connections, and discovering the full range of their abilities and talents. Through WDSRA programs, our participants have the opportunity to lead healthy, productive, and full lives.

Your support will impact the lives of so many participants and their families. Please give your support to the participants and families that WDSRA serves.Click here to view our 2009-2010 Annual Appeal
