About Our Programs

Two Ways to Play

WDSRA Recreational and Social Programs

WDSRA provides fun, engaging recreational and social programs, trips, and special events for children, teens, and adults with special needs. Programs are offered for all ages, from preschool to seniors, and are designed with a close staff to participant ratio.  Programs are structured to allow everyone to participate at their own ability level. Through WDSRA each individual has the opportunity to grow personally, connect with their community and discover their potential.

WDSRA's Current Brochure is now available in "PDF" format.

Inclusion Services for Park District Programs

Inclusion services are designed to provide the least restrictive environment while providing the maximum opportunity to participate in regular park district programs. WDSRA offers assistance to any individual with a disability who registers for a park district program from any of our member districts. Assistance varies depending on the needs of the individual and can range from adapting materials to sending support staff. There is no additional cost for participants to receive inclusion services. To register for services, simply indicate that special accommodations are needed on the park district registration form. Two-week advance notice is requested for inclusion support.

Member Park Districts

WDSRA is a cooperative extension of nine park districts serving the communities of:  Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Roselle, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton, and Winfield.
