WDSRA Disability Awareness & Community Education Program
Thank you for choosing WDSRA as your Disability Awareness education resource! Our staff are professionals who are experts in the field of disability knowledge. This program is designed to provide participants with hands-on activities to destigmatize perceptions of individuals with special needs.
Our goal in offering this program is to not only promote awareness of disabilities but to provide participants with resources to confidently interact with and include people with disabilities.
Who the Program is for:
We educate a variety of groups within our 9 member districts. Those can include:
- Schools
- Park Districts
- Businesses
- Extracurricular clubs
- Etc.

- How to reduce the fear of the unknown
- How to recognize a person’s abilities
