a nOTE FROM THE dIRECTOR....

With the Genie’s help, Jasmine rises above the clouds on a magic carpet.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have one of those? To bypass traffic on the
Eisenhower, to travel to a distant vacation spot in an instant, or just to
escape from worries in general!

At the beginning of our play even with the magic carpet, these three
characters all lacked one thing… FREEDOM! Freedom to rise above and be
whom they were meant to be. They all yearned for something that was out
of reach that even the carpet couldn’t take them to.

However, with the help of love, compassion and a generous spirit these
three do find freedom in the end.

May we all be helpers in the pursuit of freedom. Whether you are on the
giving or receiving end let’s live our lives well in loving all people, giving
compassion no matter who they are and being generous when we have the
means or ability.

Let’s rise above the clouds with or without a magic carpet!
