Collective Energy Fuels KEEPING SERVICES

FLOWING
Innovation and Collaboration On Wednesday, October 4, 2023,

we experienced a catastrophic water
main break at the WDSRA office,
resulting in approximately four inches
of water flooding the entire building.
The flood affected all common
areas, offices, closets, and the Rec
& Roll room, forcing an immediate
evacuation. Items not destroyed by
the water were moved to temporary
storage. With the support of our Park
District partners, the Carol Stream
Rec & Roll group and staff were
quickly relocated, and a plan was
implemented for a combination of
remote and in-person solutions.

Throughout the entire situation, our
priority remained ensuring that every
program continued as scheduled,
with no interruption in services.

We introduced innovative programs tailored to the diverse needs of our
communities, directly shaped by the voices of those we serve. Through
collaboration, we brought fresh ideas to life, always aiming to make a
meaningful difference. Our focus on fostering genuine connections and
creating memorable experiences has been guided by the enthusiasm of
participants and families.

Partnerships with like-minded organizations have been crucial in amplifying our
efforts, expanding our reach, and bringing new perspectives and resources to
our work. Together, we’ve ensured our programs are dynamic, inclusive, and
